FUNDAMENTALS OF COMMUNICATIONS

  • Communication is not the the message you are sending, it is the picture that receiver is creating in their head. And, you can read the picture that receiver is creating in their heads. Ability to read that is a source of power for you. You will learn more on this.

PRINCIPLES OF BODY LANGUAGE

  • Principle of self awareness - How to read others and be aware of your own body language.

  • Principle of being authentic - don’t imitate, master it.

  • Principle of evocation - don’t convince, evoke.

  • Principle of observation - build power to see the unseen.

TWO TYPES OF PERSONA STATES OF BEING

  • Associated - in the situation

  • Dissociated - outside the situation

TYPES OF BODY LANGUAGE

  • Fixed (Passive) Body Language - what can I tell about a person in first three seconds when the body is not moving (face, wrinkles, fingers, ears, etc.)

  • Active Body Language - What can I read from moving body postures and interpret the story they are telling.
